The Irish Goa Community was set up in 2022 to raise funds for a local Community Nursing Home.
The members had actually been active in the town since 1996, engaged in, for example, raising money for tsunami victims under the guidance of The Red Cross whilst also working with Irish homeless charities in donating food, clothing, and haircuts.
At present, our focus is to raise much-needed funds for an affordable Community Nursing Home in the area. The initial fundraising was done through our Irish Goa Family Fun Day in July, which was a huge success, along with additional events such as dinner & dance nights plus coffee mornings, to name but a few.
We want to thank everyone who came out last night, and a big, big thank you to our performers, Austin Prior and DJ Neville Fernandez, along with our MC, Victor Evans.
