he mighty Pierce Cahill has yet again proving he will go to any lengths for a good cause.
Having taken on the task of running 5km every single day in May for his beloved Lakers, this afternoon, Pierce delivered for Lust For Life.
Taking place in Mullingar today, Marathon Mind was organised by Lust For Life founder Niall Breslin, the idea being to bring four individuals together ‘on a nine-month journey to complete one of the most testing of all endurance events’. The aim being to ‘train the mind to make the body stronger, not the other way around‘.
Or thereabouts. You can get Bressie’s lowdown on Marathon Mind on his blog here.
In the meantime, eh, Pierce has only gone and come in 1st at the Mullingar leg of the event.
Which should come as a surprise, but then, this is Pierce.
Congrats to the lad, and to proud mum, Diane, and co-runner, Lisa Howley!
