Have wife, will travel

t was always a good day when you met Bob and Maura Mowatt out on your walk around the town.

A suspiciously happy couple, the Mowatts always had an air of both decency and mischief about them.

They were, in other words, the quintessential Greystonians, always ready to help and always keen to have a little fun.

So, it was with immense sadness that we learnt of Bob’s passing on Friday.

Having been ill for some time, Bob was surrounded by his family when he passed. And now, his beloved wife Maura and their four children, Becca, Mel, Alan and Andrew, and grandchildren, – along with his sisters Elizabeth, Margaret and Patricia – will be embracing all the happy love, memories and mischief Bob left behind.

There will be a private funeral at St Patrick’s Church on Tuesday, November 17th at 2pm, followed by a committal service at 4pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mowatt clan, along with Bob’s extended family and his many friends…
