Happy daze… Roundwood SAT14SEPT24 John McGowan

t’s becoming a Roundwood regular, and it’s a feelgood run in more ways than one…

Raising money for a great charity and keeping yourself fit, Lakers Annual Roundwood Reservoir 10K Run is a win-win event.

And this year’s big day was Saturday, September 14th, with the weather kindly staying warm and dry for all those hearty souls who descended upon the town.

This beautiful lake-side trail run took those participating around the stunning Vartry Reservoir in Roundwood, and culminated in a free BBQ alongside some prize-giving.

Because who doesn’t like a medal with their burger…?

Said Grainne Clarke from Lakers, “This year, our Roundwood Run saw the highest number of participants ever! Over 400 people signed up to run, with 327 participants making it on the day.

“We cannot thank everyone enough. Whether it’s their fifth time taking part or their first, we are so grateful to everyone who signed up and came out on the day to support Lakers.”

Joining in all the fun, if not the actual run, was our trusty cameraman, John McGowan, with over 250 shots from the day right here.
