South Beach Playground Is A Go!

The numbers game…

t’s incredible to think that there is a person among us who has happily – and anonymously – donated the €70,000 needed for Greystones to finally get its much-needed new playground.

And they don’t want any recognition for it! Or credit! Or a parade!

Personally, if GG donated that kind of money, it’d be a t-shirt in less than 5 minutes. And a statue at the Dart station by the end of the week.

Understandably, it was happy faces all round at the South Beach Playground Guilt-O-Meter on the main street this afternoon, as the hardest-working committee in the county gathered to fill in that last slap of red paint that now signals the completion their appeal. We now have the €100,000 needed for Greystones’ new state-of-the-art playground.

Huzzah!

With Kilcoole’s long-gestating beauty about to be launched on May 11th, I think it would be fair to say that, around here, we really know how to treat our kids well.

The spoilt little brats.
