St Patrick’s Given Thanks & Praise

n two letters sent out to the pupils of St Patrick’s National School, a ‘huge thank you’ was delivered for their December shoebox appeal.

Despite the move online, this year’s call for toys and gifts for many of those families struggling and those without a home to go to resulted in a record number of donations.

And each of those donations have obviously found a happy home.

Here’s the first letter, from Dublin Christian Mission…

On behalf of everyone here at DCM I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all the AMAZING toys that you donated to us before Christmas! Thanks to you guys and your generosity, we were able to help lots of our kids that we work with each week and many families in the Dublin! Some of these families don’t have very much money or even a home to celebrate Christmas in so they were delighted and extremely thankful for all the lovely gifts we were able to give them from you.

I hope you enjoy the video showing where some of your gifts went to – as you can see, we even managed to get Santa to come and help us give them out which was amazing!

And the second, from The Light House…

A HUGE THANKS to all of you for your amazing work collecting, preparing and distributing a Christmas meal and gift backpacks to our homeless friends at The Light House. A delicious meal and all the backpacks brought many smiles to over 300 guests on that day.

You truly brought Christmas cheer to many that are living under very difficult circumstances. The smiling faces, words of thanks and even tears all belong to you through your desire to help those in need and to love your neighbour!
