It was a bit of a struggle down at Sweeney’s this week, as the dishes served up by Glenn and co were proving a little hard for the old resist and wait.
From The Mexican (6oz pattie with chilli beef, chipotle sauce, mont jack cheese, lettuce & cart onion) and The Smash Burger (two 2oz beef patties with cheese, onion & ketchup) to the Maple Madness Chicken Burger (Crispy chicken with maple syrup, maple cured bacon, mont jack cheese, crisp purple slaw & creamy honey mayo), The Mutha Clucker Sambo (Chimichurri and peanut butter-marinated chicken with lettuce, crisp fresh veg & pickled red onion on toasted sourdough), the Slow Braised Buffalo Short Ribbed Burger (6hr braised rib with sticky glaze, wasabi mayo, lettuce & cart onion) and Tian Of Fresh Crab And Crayfish (Fresh crab and crayfish in creme fresh with chive and lemon, served with brioche toast and watercress salad)… well, is it any wonder our tongue was on the floor?
