ust like GG, Reggie Corrigan is a handsome, debonair and dang fit man who just happens to be on the other side of 50.
Which means the Irish rugby international-turned-fitness coach knows all about that midriff crisis.
And the importance of staying active as those birthday candles get a little too hot to blow out all on one breath.
To that end, Reggie’s Solas gym down in Charlesland have come up with a whole new fitness plan for those over 50. Or who just feel like they’re over 50.
“One of the main things we want to do is take the fear out of those who might not be too sure about going to a gym,” says Reggie. “Those first-timers who aren’t quite sure what to expect, or anyone who just felt out of place at another gym.
“Part of the solution is being with other people in your age bracket, so you never feel out of place. And then there’s the simple task of making the training fun, so that you actually don’t realise you’re getting fitter and fitter. And when you hit that new fitness level, the sense of reward and good feeling is enormous. And it’ll spur you on…”
Allowing for those recovering from surgeries (such as knee and hip replacements) or those simply keen to fight off the dangers of ageing (such as arthritis and osteoporosis), Reggie and the Solas gang will tailor your workouts that fit your needs.
Open from the crack of dawn to 8.30pm from Monday to Saturday, you can find out more about the groovy Solas here, check out our Oct 2020 int with Reggie here, and get in touch directly on 0858797840or email@example.com.
