Temple Carrig Minors Major Champions

News just coming in that Temple Carrig’s Minor team have managed to beat Dublin today in, well, some kind of final.

The team they beat is actually Dublin Oak Academy (oh, how the mighty Oak has fallen, etc), but by how much, where, and how, know we not.

We do know that proud mum Judith McManus is excited and delighted. 

So much so, she sent us the pic above.

A quick visit to the Temple Carrig School website led us nowhere until we spotted their Twitter feed.

Which is where we got the second pic here, and the name of that loser Dublin team.

So, congrats to all the players, especially whichever one of you put the ball into the back of the net more than the other team.

Congrats too, to coach John McGuinness (thanks, Judith!), for putting together such a killer team…

Update: Turns out our boys trashed Dublin good – 10 frickin’ nil good, against a team who once beat them 6-1. Boom! 

The goal scorers were James Nicholson (captain) with four, Ruairi Parker with three, Colm Condon with two, and Lazy Swine Cunningham with just the one.
