here’s always, of course, a deep sadness that comes with
looking around a once-beautiful, once-thriving building now reduced to rubble, rot and MC Feckwit graffiti.
You only have to walk past The La Touche
Hotel to recognise that.
We’ve seen inside everyone’s favourite house on the hill before, back in 2015, and it’s hard to say if all that much has changed over the three years since.

still a sight to make your eyes sore.
Having been put on the market again last June, along with the surrounding 50 acres, here’s hoping someone with a
little taste and a lot of respect for the history there buys Windgates House and restores it to something resembling its former glory.
And should they feel like having a monthly party to celebrate that fact, even better…
