Boxing clever…

e were stupidly late to the party on this one, but there was still time to catch up with Greystones’ champs Kaci Rock and Tadhg O’Donnell on the day of the latest title fights.

The fearsome, fist-flying fighters were at the National Boxing Stadium on Saturday 4th, each taking another shot at championship glory.

The event was the Irish Athletic Boxing Association’s Under 22s finals, and Greystones’ dynamic duo, as always, were in the mix.

Stepping into the ring just before 3pm, going up against Monkstown Boxing Club’s Milos Davis. It was a hard-fought battle, and in the end, Tadhg had to settle for the silver in this Under 18s title bout.

When Kaci stepped out of the ring in her fight against Togher Boxing Club’s Leanne Murphy, the result went her way, as she walked away with gold and her 6th title.

Congrats to them both, of course, for flying the flag, and generally being feckin’ great at what is a dang difficult sport…
