n a time when putting pen to paper is almost an ancient art, getting an actual Christmas card in the post is a thing of wonder.

In that it has you immediately wondering if you’ve already posted the sender a Christmas card too.

So, get one up on your family and friends this year by posting your festive greetings nice and early.

The dates you need to beat are…

Standard post deadline for cards and letters is December 22nd for Ireland, 19th for our friends up North, December 18th for our foe across the water, December 17th for our EU buddies, December 10th for the relatives over in Trumpland, and December 5th for the rest of the planet.

For standard post parcels it’s December 21st for Ireland, the 19th for Northern Ireland, the 18th for Great Britain, December 12th for the rest of Europe, and December 5th for the USA and beyond.

For registered post it’s December 20th Ireland, 19th Northern Ireland, 18th Great Britain, 17th Europe, and December 5th for the USA and the rest.

For Express post, it’s the same as registered, except for America and the rest of the world, the deadline is December 10th.

International courier deadlines are December 18th for Great Britain and Europe, and December 16th for USA and the leftovers.

Your nearest and dearest post office is, of course, down at Meridian Point, although other post offices are available.
