t was all go down at Theatre Lane today, as Greystones’ first ever solo artist mural was finally put on display.

With the ambitious piece having taken over 300 hours to paint, Theatre Lane’s artist in residence, Irina Kuksova, was there to see her months of relatively hard work get pride of place in what is slowly becoming Greystones’ coolest little boulevard.

With the Mini-Theatre sporting not only Santa himself toasting by an open fire (as he checks his Nice list), but also a North Pole letterbox especially for Greystones boys and girls, the arrival of the fairylight arch and four towering, potted trees are merely early signs of the cunning fun and frolics to come.

For now, see if you can recognise any Greystonians in amongst the caricatures, crazies and cuddly pandas. And next time you’re heading downtown, take a walk from Hillside Road down through this hidden gem that leads into Meridian Point.
