Up For Being A Bed Buddy…?

he Greystones Tidy Towns gang have been on the blower about a fine new initiative to help keep our town bloomin’ beautiful.

Given that even maintaining a household garden can take up a huge chunk of a day, imagine what it’s like when you’re looking after all the flower beds in Greystones.

Simply put, it’s an almost impossible task for a small group of dedicated of volunteers who work week-in, week-out to pretty up our surroundings. But, with a little help here and there, it can be done…

Which is where you come in…

Greystones Tidy Towns are trying to get the good people of Greystones to become a Bed Buddy and look after a chosen flowerbed for us. They will supply whatever you need (within reason), of course, and will advise you on what is planted there, etc. They have a number of beds all around the town looking to be adopted, such as…

1. Welcome to Greystones at Aldi.
2. Crowe Bank.
3. Beds at train station eastern platform.
4. Train station western platform.
5. Park n Ride beds.
6. Burnaby Park beds.
7. Bugs Green.
8. Sensory Garden.

The gang will tidy up the beds and hand them over weed-free. GTT are not looking for a huge commitment from anybody but this kind of project might suit people who do not particularly want or have time to join the gang each Saturday morning and would like instead to undertake a project alone or with a friend.

Anything you can do would be great.

All offers of help most gratefully accepted. Greystones Tidy Towns will acknowledge any help we get or leave it private if so desired by any participants.
