Viva la Free Food!

Viva la Free Food!
atest press release from local French teacher Cécilia Travers, issued
on Wednesday, March 26th 2025…
The students from Temple Carrig School were present to welcome the guests, treat them to homemade pastries, and talk to them about Mayotte. The 2011 French comedy The Intouchables was enjoyed by everyone, young and old.
A big thank you to Tiglin for lending us the Youth Cafe, the perfect venue for this celebration; to the Embassy of France in Ireland for its support, especially
to Théo Chouvenc for his presence and speech; to Senator Aubrey McCarthy for his visit; to AIPLF Ireland for donating a prize for the raffle, and to our local sponsors, Lorient Gift Shop and Sweet Boutique in Greystones, as well as to the Whale Theatre for their generous donation.
All proceeds on the night are going to Mayotte, a little French island near Madagascar. Mayotte has been very badly affected by a recent hurricane.
