aving taken its first steps early last year, the Greystones Business Network has decided its name should be a little more inclusive.

And since the Greystones, Kilcoole, Delgany, Newcastle, Charlesland & Blacklion Business Network is hard to fit on a badge, they’ve settled on the East Wicklow Business Network.

Headed up by local go-getters and do-gooders Feargal McKenna, Mark Atkins, Elaine Harding, Derek Byrne, Gordon O’Neill, Peter O’Faherty and Louise Gaskin, the aim is to encourage and foster quality business – local, national and international – around these here parts.

Especially since we no longer have a town chamber.

And to coincide with National Enterprise Week from March 7th to the 12th, the gang will be hosting a series of business breakfasts, with their first confirmed speaker being Louise Fleming, a key figure in Wicklow’s Local Enterprise Office. On March 8th from 9am to 10am, Louise will be giving an overview presentation of all the services, grants, training and assistance available to all business owners in Wicklow through her department, followed by a Q&A and then a heavy dose of networking.

Greystones Golf Club is both host and supporter of the event, and you can choose between tea/coffee with a scone for €5 or with a breakfast bap for €9.
