Project Health, Wicklow’s emerging hub for evidence-based healthcare and performance, has announced plans to expand its clinical team in early 2026.

The clinic — already known for its close collaboration with local GPs and gyms — is inviting health and exercise professionals who are seeking high-quality space to rent to apply for interview opportunities taking place in January.

Blending clinical expertise with real-world exercise prescription, Project Health continues to find new ways to bridge the gap between the public health system and the wider community when it comes to specific exercise and nutrition prescription for population health. Their team works directly with GP practices across Wicklow, while also partnering with gyms to create seamless referral pathways for people who need structured, accessible and scientifically guided exercise and nutrition programmes.

At the heart of the clinic’s work are their 8-week metabolic health programmes, designed to improve cholesterol, reduce cardiometabolic risk, support pre-diabetes management and guide sustainable weight change. Participants attend weekly, benefitting from metabolic testing, strength coaching, nutrition planning and tailored lifestyle support — all delivered in an encouraging, practical and non-intimidating environment.

Project Health is now looking to welcome like-minded practitioners into the space: professionals who value collaboration, patient-centred care, and a modern approach to exercise and clinical health.

“We’re extremely encouraged by the early results from participants in our 8-week programme. There is a clear gap in how exercise is prescribed to create meaningful health change, and we’re now seeing how well structured, evidence-based exercise can integrate into what is often an overly medicalised healthcare system.

Full transparency; rent and overheads are high. We’ve kept the programme competitively priced to remain as accessible as possible, but for this pilot to remain sustainable we need all GP practices to be aware of the service. We have a live referral calendar, allowing GPs to book patients directly during their appointments. Patient information is shared both safely and securely between clinics so results such as blood markers or relevant clinical information can be communicated successfully.
