Wicklow Flies The Flag For LGBTQJune 3, 2021
here’s joy to be had, of course, playing football on a great big feck-off telly.
But nothing could ever match the real thing when it comes to the beautiful game.
And kids from Greystones, Kilcoole, Delgany, Bray and beyond have been making their particular game that little bit more beautiful by getting some professional coaching from the mighty Emeka Meeks.
Having played professionally for years, Emeka made the natural move into coaching, and has never been busier. Or happier.
With after-school programmes and summer camps currently on offer, his Modern Legacy training club have now added a new elite weekly session, for those keen to have the edge.
Starting on June 7th, these strength-focussed sessions concentrate on developing the individual player whilst training in a small group.
Perfect, in other words, for the kid who wants to shine within a team.
Taking place at St Anthony’s in Kilcoole and Wolfe Tone FC in Bray, the weekly sessions are aimed at boys and girls aged 4 to 12 years old inclusively.
You can find out more about these June after-school sessions right here, about Modern Legacy over here, and check out our recent interview with Emeka here.
