When A Town Comes Together

he call went out in November to get local mum Dee Woods to Germany for cancer treatment, and Greystones clearly heard.

Within days, not one, not two, but four fundraisers were organised around the town.

There was a table quiz at The Whale, Summit To The Sea on November 25th, Yoga & Breathwork For Dee at Shoreline and an O’Brien’s-hosted wine tasting shindig at Druid’s Glen.

And now, a Facebook page has been set up to pull all the events and fundraisers together, including Golf4Dee at the Dun Laoghaire Golf Club on Monday, December 18th, with a four ball team costing €500 and an individual entry being €125. Details here, tickets by email here.

Sadly, just before Christmas Day 2024, Dee Woods passed away…
