Unhappy as Larry’s…?

aysus, you turn your back around here for one second, and everybody’s playing musical chairs.

Suddenly, Relish is gone, and Nico and his brother at Eternity are already preparing to open an authentic Greek restaurant in its place.

More of which soon, my fat, finger-licking friends.

And just up the road, sure, one day it’s Larry’s, the next, it’s gone. Swallowed up by its  mothership, Sonny’s.

No website. No Instagram. No Facebook. No fond farewell.

“It’s just gone,” said the nice man behind the hot plate this evening. “No reason. It’s just all Sonny’s now…”

We’ve sent an email to big boss man Declan McLoughlin, but have yet to hear back, so, who knows what happened here. Maybe too many people just objected to that Pound Shop sign and cheap-as-chips logo? This is Greystones, after all. Where fonts matter.

Either way, good to see that this little street food takeaway is still there. And here’s to Nico and Joey’s great Greek adventure.

Bottom line, we’re spoilt for choice around here when it comes to getting our yum on…
