I wonder if a crowd-funding exercise has been considered ? While the price may appear high, if some commitment was forthcoming, perhaps even including from corporate sources, perhaps that might spur the Government into action. – maybe on a 50/50 basis ? So long as this unique ancient woodland is preserved in perpetuity for the public benefit, I for one wouldn’t mind giving up naming rights to Guinness or even Meta !! Such “soft” advertising is becoming very effective these days.
