Yarnbombers Raise €4,000 For Temple Street

or a very brief and very wonderful early summer treat, the good ladies of the Irish Countrywomen’s Association transformed Greystones with an amazing technicolour dreamcoat of wool.

And, bejiggers, it may you feel as though we should have these woolly bullies looking after our town’s appearance throughout the entire year.

Not only was their Yarnbomb 2019 a magical spectacle for visitors and local yokels alike, but it was also there as a fundraiser for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

For their Children’s Mental Health department, to be precise, and now, the ICA girls have handed over their oversized cheque to the Temple Street gang, having raised a staggering €4,003 with their sunny work. Boom!
