oung Kathleen Kelleher is clearly keeping our twinning with a
certain Welsh town alive agus cicio, as this Saturday afternoon shindig proves…
To find out which of our parts are actually connected to their parts.
The group also stopped at Greystones harbour to talk about the schooner Velinheli and on to the Railway Station at the boundary of the La Touche and Hawkins Whitshed estates.
This land was later bought by David La Touche.
The group also went on to a reception in the Council chamber hosted by Mayor Lourda Scott, where the unveiling of an official Holyhead Room took place. Just remember, what happens in The Holyhead Room, yn aros yn Ystafell Caergybi. John McGowan pics here.

As a member of the Holyhead Male Voice choir that visited Greystones again, can I say how much we all enjoyed our weekend , and the welcome we had and the two hour tour around the area. In particular, it was an honour to have been allowed to sing in the beautiful Christ Church at Delgany, and to meet someone from N.Wales i.e. the Rector Natasha Thomas. The concert in the evening at Burnaby Park was well organized, although a bit on the cold side.
Unfortunately, the choir had a 7 1/2 hr journey back to Holyhead on the Sunday afternoon, due to the very adverse weather conditions- but it still did not spoil our weekend. Thanks to all of you in Ireland for looking after us so well.
