El Patto strikes again!

he sun may have decided that June is Hide & Seek Month, but that didn’t stop the Open Door gang having their annual Mid-Summer Lunch.

And sure, wasn’t everyone and anyone – plus one, of course – there for the free slap-up celebration.

With music provided by the bould Mary Fogarty – she of Bray People fame – accompanied by the bould Shay Fogarty and the Notorious P.I.G., Damian Cahill, there was also a raffle to keep the stuffed punters happy. And the prizes weren’t your usual pub quiz muck either, with art, jewellery, woodwork and, of course, hampers all up for grabs.

Carrying on the good work of her mother Mary, the bould Suzanne Hackett of this parish thanked everyone who came out and supported another Open Door fundraiser. After all the costs were covered, there was €3,500 in the hat, which will go a long way towards the many activities organised by this fine Bray charity for adults with physical disabilities.

And there to capture all the happy, smiling faces and full bellies was the mighty John McGowan…
