GARA’s Kathleen Kelleher and Allison Ryder from Wicklow Hospice FRI26SEPT25
t was another full Kilian House this year as the GARA gang held their
annual coffee morning for Wicklow Hospice.
Given that they are, at heart, the Greystones Very Active Retirement Association.
Beyond the yummy cakes, the ever-flowing tea agus coffee and the singalongs with Canadh Le Chéile, extra money for the hospice was raised through the sale of hand-designed greeting cards and, of course, a great big raffle.

“Any leftovers, ladies…?”
Allison Ryder from Wicklow Hospice swung by too, to give her heartfelt thanks to everyone involved with the morning.
The chair of GARA, Hilary Taylor, extended special thanks as well to all who made a special effort to come along.
We’ll have the total raised from the bould Kathleen Kelleher once she comes back from Paddy Power (update: the morning raised €2115 for Wicklow Hospice), but in the meantime, our roving snapper supreme John McGowan captured the whole shebang.
His full gallery of hi-res pics – free to download – are here, and you can jump back to last year’s coffee morning here.
