There Will Be MudMay 9, 2019
The sun shone on Delgany Golf Club this afternoon, and so did quite a few sons and daughters.
An annual shindig, the Delgany School Cup brings together the best in budding golf stars around these here parts, and, as always, the talent on display was pretty incredible.
Last year, St Gerard’s School won the Girls competition, whilst another Bray school, St Cronan’s Boys National School, won the Boys.
Both schools were back this year, to defend their titles, and their challengers were clearly keen to snatch them away.
St Laurence’s National School, Newtownmountkennedy Primary School, St Kevin’s National School, Delgany National School, The Glebe in Wicklow Town, Greystones’ Gael Scoil and St Brigid’s National School.
And the day saw two new champion teams being crowned – St Brigid’s, Greystones (featuring Shauna Seifreid, Chloe Lewis, Stella Doyle & Beth Murray) for the Girls. For the boys, it was St Gerard’s, Bray (Matthew Murray, Darragh Tucker, James Coffey & Aonghus Dungan).
Congrats to all the players, but mainly, of course, the winners!
