Hayden Convicted In Corruption Case

was at Dun Laoghaire District Court on January 6th 2023 that two Charlesland residents found themselves facing corruption charges.

One was former Garda staff member Holly Hayden, arrested at her home that morning and handed five charges.

And now, exactly 10 months later, the conviction, Ms Hayden jailed at the same court for two and a half years.

Now living in Bray, the accused pleaded guilty to one count of disclosing confidential information from the Pulse system obtained in the course of her employment in October 2019. She further pleaded to two counts of accessing confidential information from the Pulse system at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station on dates between September 2019 and May 2020. There was also an allegation that information was obtained and exchanged relating to Garda Covid checkpoints. 

Also sitting at Dun Laoghaire District Court that January morning was 33-year-old Daniel Webb of Charlesland Grove, charged with three counts to exchange cocaine or cash or advantage for information relating to an individual. Webb was also charged with the same offence in relation to information about himself.

Webb is currently in Mountjoy Prison, serving two years after being found guilty last month.
