Crash Survivor Issues Thanks To Firemen

s the Labour Court talks over firemen’s working conditions stalls this week, another reminder of just how important these brave people are.

A near-fatal crash at Eden Gate roundabout at weekend saw a life saved by a quick-thinking Greystones fireman, who fitted a breathing apparatus and a hood to protect the two brothers trapped inside the overturned car.

And now, one of those men, Pat Mooney, has issued a thank you to all those who saved their lives…

‘To the Greystones / Bray Fire Rescue & Ambulance Crew who attended a serious road traffic accident at Eden Gate on Thursday last – your incredible response saved my brother & I.

What a job you guys do – the impact of your dedication is immense to the community.

To the people who witnessed the event and without hesitation put themselves in serious harm’s way (after our vehicle caught fire) to help us – also demonstrates what we are all capable of love.
