costumes and haunted mansions out there this year, but the quality certainly made up for the quantity.

Farrankelly Close made the monster most of having the local Gardaà round for a Halloween kickabout.
Farrankelly Close made the monster most of having the local Gardaà round for a Halloween kickabout.Kudos too when it came to the town’s schools, especially St Patrick’s National and Temple Carrig, all clearly getting into the spooky spirit of things with teachers and pupils alike all dressing to distress.
And alongside some new highly original additions to our ghoulish gallery this year, got to give an honourable mention to Anne Hertz and her demon off-spring for once again going far above and below with their costumes. Yowsa!
And then there was the fine work of the Buckleys over in 
Thorndale, and young Darragh Flynn & co keeping the Halloween Pageants alive and kicking this year.
