Delgany Kids’ Winning Wind Park Windfall

Ava’s 1st prize winner…

trio of Delgany National School kids were among the winners of a recent Codling Wind Park art competition.

The theme being, of course, Hooray For Wind Parks.

Or something like that.

Nabbing 1st prize in the junior section was Ava’s offering above, whilst Delgany schoolmates Alexander nabbed the 3rd spot, whilst the bould Daniel echoed that spot in the senior competition.

With over 500 entries across Wicklow, the other winning entries came from Wicklow Town, with Beth and Megan from the Glebe National School and Tia from Wicklow Education Together National School picking up the other three podium spots.

The first place prizes were €100 vouchers for either Art & Hobby here in Greystones or Hopkins’ Toymaster in Wicklow Town, whilst the second and third spots received €50 and €30 vouchers respectively.

St Catherine’s

All to mark Global Wind Day today, June 15th. Which isn’t an excuse to let rip, by the way.

Also winning on the day was St Catherine’s Special School, who scooped a special prize of €500 worth of IT equipment.
