It may have technically been Christmas Eve, but that didn’t stop some swines from committing a robbery at the mini-mart in Delgany village.
According to Greystones Gardaí, the crime occurred just before 4.30pm.
They’re hoping anyone who may have seen a silver Toyota Prius with taxi plates around this time in the village will come forward.
On Monday, December 24th, masked men entered Delgany’s Mini-Mart, making off with an alleged €5,000 in the stolen taxi which was later found abandoned at Greystones’ Park & Ride.
Jaysus, two big questions here – how the heck did this small shop have €5,000 on the premises, and did these buggers have local tip-offs to that very possibility…?
In a separate incident, last Sunday an Ashford family were terrorised by three masked men who broke into their Woodview estate home demanding to talk to a young man who was not present in the house at the time. The three men left with a Playstation 4console, escaping in a silver hatchback car.
