e can’t be sure, but we think the furry freak brother outfit above might have just swung it.
Then again, it might be the 27 years of being a professional golfer and PGA member that won the day.
Either way, Delgany Golf Club’s Gavin Kavanagh has just been made an Honorary Life Member of the Professional Golfers Association.
And, naturally, the Delgany gang are excited agus delighted. As this celebratory press release reveals…
The PGA has announced that our Club Professional, Gavin Kavanagh, has been made an Honorary Life Member of the Professional Golfers Association.
With PGA Captain Nicky Lamb & member David Hart
Gavin qualified as a professional in 1994 and has been a member of the PGA since then. During this time he held a number of roles in the PGA including:-
• Southern Branch Committee Member and Chairman • Irish region Committee Member and Chairman • PGA Executive Committee Member • PGA Captain in Ireland • PGA Board Member
With Delgany’s 2020 Lady Captain, Diane Reed
Gavin has had a long-term commitment to Downs Syndrome and during his time as a Golf Professional he has raised in excess of €500,000. He hopes to add to that later this year when he hosts the annual Pro Am in Delgany on 23rd July 2021. If it’s not in your diary already, it should be!
