Faith Don’t Fail Me Now

n a year when a lot of people’s get up and go just got up and went, Pierce Cahill was a true inspiration.

Here was a man who clearly believed that we didn’t come this far just to come this far.

Taking on a series of fundraising marathons through the year, Pierce seemed to run just about every single day that 2021 had to offer. And in the process, he not only inspired many of us to just keep on moving forward but he raised a heck of a lot of much-needed charity moolah too.

Including over €20,000 for his beloved Lakers.

It’s worth noting too that this ray of light for these dark days wasn’t out pounding the pavements daily just to keep any self-loving Instagram account fed. This was all about the sheer joy of running. Whilst doing some serious good.

“It’s all about not giving up,” says our local hero. “Just keep on pushing, and trying…”

So, congrats to the mighty Cahill lad, and to one very proud mum, Diane, who was there pretty much every step of the way throughout her son’s magnificent year.

So, when these uncertain times start to creep up on you, just ask yourself, ‘What would Pierce do…?’.
