Greystones Flower Club’s Bloomin’ Big Birthday

tarted in 1990 in Carrig Eden, the motto created in those early years was Friendship Through Flowers…

And it’s a motto that has seen the Greystones Flower Club continue to bloom year and after year for 35 years.

Last night, that birthday milestone was celebrated with a full house and a very special guest, Margaret McGuirk, one of the founders of the club all those years ago.

“There are so many people to thank,” says Anne Harvey, the club’s president. “Mary Markham, Laili, Beryl, Maura, Flo and Sandra – all have been a big, big part of the club over many, many years.

“On the night, Gabrielle organised our lovely birthday cake, along with her little helpers, Triona and Kate.

“And a big, big thank you to John McGowan, for coming down to take so many wonderful photos…”
