development of the town. We have had the absolute pleasure of looking after the fabulous local people and those in the surrounding areas.
We are in no doubt too that Bochelli’s has been the beginning of many a love story, from first dates to proposals, sparking many new family gatherings.
But the pinnacle has been hosting the Christmas dinner, on Christmas Day, over many years for our homeless friends within the community, which I can honestly say were some of the best Christmases my family have ever experienced.
within the hospitality sector – food costs, utility costs, and a recent increase in rental costs, among others – making it impossible to continue our wonderful venture.
The train service to Greystones has also been a great disappointment with every bank holiday being compromised with no service. Plus, the recent budgetary decisions, which again bore a negative effect on small businesses. All these factors played a role in our difficult decision to close…
We would like to thank you all deeply! The incredible people who gave us such wonderful support over our tenure in Bochelli‘s restaurant. Our customers have become great friends and will remain the same. The many, many staff that have flowed through the doors of Bochelli’s, old and new, I would like to thank them all for the hard work, dedication and commitment to the business over the years.
This post is no doubt possibly the saddest message I have ever had to compose and as I move onto a new chapter in my life, I wish you and all our fellow business people in Greystones, happiness and success in the future.

Very sad – first restaurant we dined in when we moved here – we all love it.
Really sorry to hear this, I have many wonderful memories of family events and nights out with friends in Bochellis…heartbreaking that you struggled through Covid only to founder at this stage. You will be very much missed!!

So sad to read of your closure. You ran a wonderful restaurant over so many years with your caring family and staff. Good luck in your next chapter and take pride in the knowledge that Bochelli’s will be missed.
When is it going to be closed? So I know when to book my last meal

I’m so sorry to hear your sad news. The fantastic memories I have of those special Christmas Dinners you hosted for Tiglin & the Homeless on Christmas Day, was I agree the Best Christmas’s., with very special memories. It was the true meaning if Christmas!
Your thoughtfulness, generosity & great sense of humour were what made it so special. You’re one of a kind hosting these events for those less well off. Your family & staff were great support to you too. These people had a fantastic Christmas & will never forget them.
You will certainly be missed off the Main Street & I totally agree with you that the Cliff Walk & No Dart Service over the long Bank Holiday Weekends played a significant role in your decision to close. The lack of footfall would have been detrimental.
I wish you & your family the very best of luck going forward on your journey. You will be missed.
