When Harry met Hamish

hey have a fine tradition of over-achieving young athletes over at Temple Carrig School, and they’ve just added another two to their wall of fame.

Hockey players Harry Dagg and Hamish Scott have just been chosen to play for Ireland.

Two separate teams, as it turns out, Harry playing for the Irish U18 hockey team in the 5 Nation hockey tournament in Lilleshall in the UK from April 14th to the 17th.

For Hamish, it’s the 5 Nations again, this time as part of the Irish U16 hockey team, playing in Zwolle in the Netherlands, also from April 14th to the 17th.

Naturally, the friends are delighted to be chosen to play for their country in the sport they love.

Hamish!

Says Hamish, “I’m delighted to have been selected and I’m really excited to play for Ireland.

“It’s great that we have two players from TCG selected to play for Ireland.”

“Absolutely delighted to make the 5 Nations squad in England next month. It’s been amazing how hockey has become so competition at Temple Carrig, and it’s a real honour to represent the school at a national level.”
