Given that this is their home away from home.

There to greet them was Kathleen Kelleher, whilst the town’s Leas-Cathaoirleach Mags Crean was on hand to accept
a framed print of the famous South Stack Lighthouse on Holy Island from the mighty Alan Williams.

Our Holyhead visitors travelled to Greystones via Fishguard and Rosslare. The group visited Hook Head Lighthouse, Memorial Garden at Kilmore Quay, Famine Ship Dunbrody in New Ross. They arrived to a big welcome in Greystonesnand began planning for future twinning events.

Depending on COVID-19 regulations and local plans, the popular Holyhead Santa might visit Greystones for Christmas Lights. Santa now has a new sleigh and still has his familiar Santa House. But it was the attention and devotion that Santa gave to each child that captured their affection.

Greystones could pay a visit to Holyhead for St. David’s Day on 1 March 2022. St. David is the patron saint of Wales. Greystones visited Holyhead for St. David’s Day in 2019 and featured on Welsh television!!

Holyhead could return once again for their usual visit for St. Patrick’s Day 2022. Holyhead always plays an important role in our annual parade. They are a wonderful addition to the parade with much enthusiasm and decorations and costume.

Depending on the weather, the Becki IV, may sail over from Holyhead to Greystones Harbour Marina this season. With a crew of four, the Becki IV has visited Greystones many times and would be delighted to sail over once again.
