More Priory Road Works

Delgany yesterday. Around lunchtime. And tomorrow.

ven though we’ve been keeping track of this here purple patch for 12 years now, we still never quite know what the council are up to.

Or those loveable, huggable developers who have to hire contractors to do their planning commitments.

Such is the case with Priory Road in Delgany which, every few months, seems to be suddenly shut to everyone and everything but local traffic as they pop in a footpath, clean up a hedge, or have the occasional wheelbarrow derby.

Right now, according to the nice young man at the top of Blackberry Lane, it’s all about tarmac. And lots of it.

Enough to keep them closing Priory Road regularly until Friday, September 22nd.

Or thereabouts.

Also, while you have your ear to the ground, we’re trying to find out what the Office of Public Works are doing at Kindlestown Castle…
