ack in June 2014, when we caught up with Greystones’ greatest supporter of live music, her venue down at Watson & Johnson’s old garage buildings had just closed and Ailbhe was yet to find her perfect home above The Beach House. 

A true cornerstone of Greystones, Ailbhe has been bringing some of the country’s most loved musical acts to Greystones – including the likes of Scullion, Aja, Celtic Soul and Flo McSweeney – whilst also offering a platform for local up-and-comers keen to take their music from their bedroom to the stage.

The latter long, long list includes, of course, Hozier, that sensitive, multi-platinum singer/songwriter from just over Bray Head.

Now firmly ensconsced in that perfect live venue down at the harbour, Ailbhe continues to seek out the weird and the wonderful, putting on anything from burlesque nights and magicians to antique fairs and regular fundraising events.

And the occasional ukulele onslaught.
