My Lunches With Elvis #19: Costa Coffee

e the holy, that was one fine sunny March afternoon down in Greystones this afternoon, and it brought out the best in The King.

As these fine young ladies clearly noticed when they spotted Elvis down in the Costa del Sod.

Sporting a brand new gold cape from the bould Jane Markey and a smile almost as broad as his ass, The Artist Formerly Known As Alan Adamson was clearly in his element today. And happy as hell to be back out in the real world after a few days laid up in hospital.

Given the man’s sunny disposition, we decided it would be best not to mention the troll who had been complaining about having The King regularly popping up on the Guide. Seriously, you have to wonder about the kind of dark, barren soul that can’t find neither light nor love in Elvis Alan Presley.

So, on with more important business. Such as checking out yet another Greystones eaterie, this time the local outlet for big brand business Costa Coffee. Situated at the entrance to the Meridian Point centre just off the main street, given the wide-open spaces inside and out, this is a haven for any parent with a dirty big buggy in tow.

And given that they do a toasted special that boasts not only bacon but chicken too, Elvis was pretty darn happy to swing by Costa too.

So, once the burping and the pelvic thrusts had died down, we asked the €64,000,000,000 question – was this a lunch fit for The King…?
