Sister Miriam 23NOV15
ister Miriam is one of our favourite people round these parts, and she just so happens to reside – and take
care of – one of our favourite landmarks round here too.
For anyone who has been to Luisne’s annual Open Day (2015 here), or attended the recent Murrough World Music Festival, or any of the centre’s many life-healing-verging-on-life-saving workshops, classes or retreats (their current schedule is here), you hardly need me to tell you how lucky we are to have this magnificent centre right on our doorstep.
And all the beauty, and the love, and the search for a better understanding of this crazy little thing called life can be found in Sister Miriam, the ever-smiling, ever-searching, always-questioning former teacher who came all the way from Tiburon in San Francisco to sooth our souls. Lucky us.
As the centre prepares for its big Christmas Concert 2015, we take a walk with Sister Miriam through the beautiful Luisne grounds. Our five-minute interview went deep – unsurprisingly – and much longer than anticipated. So, as with life itself, we ran out of road before the end.
