They’ve had those costumes on for 16 days now…
t was, of course, another fine St Patrick’s Day Parade this year, with just
about everyone involved going above and beyond.
And those who went that little bit further still were celebrated tonight down in the dark, dank halls of the Greystones Municipal District Offices.
Where no one can hear you scream. Even if you’re a councillor.
Best Sports Group went to the local GAA gangs, Most Colourful Group to Greystones Community National School, Best Commercial Group went to Renewables Ireland, the Most Entertaining Group was considered to be The Four Kings Boxing Club, Best Uniformed Group Post 21, Wicklow, Irish United Nations Veterans Association, Best Social & Cultural Group went to The Sugarloaf Lions Club, Best Traditional
Irish Group went to Dann’s Disciples, Most Topical Entry went to Friends Of The Cliff Walk, Best Shop Window was Vick’s Café & Retirement Home, whilst Best Overall Group was awarded to Greystones Educate Together.
And Best Snapper on the day – or any other big day, for that matter – should go to John McGowan, who swung down tonight for the free booze and nibbles. Full gallery here.
