St David’s Goliath Makeover Gets Offical Stamp
Former pupil Harris signs the two-year building contract
previous post

he work may have started last September
but today was the official signing of St David’s swanky new extension contract.
And sitting pretty in the middle of it all was former-pupil-done-real-good, Simon Harris.
And how could he not be? This refurbishment of the existing forty-two classrooms, dining area, staff room, library and office complex (refurbished in two separate stages; summer 2021 and summer 2022) and the addition of new classrooms (a fourth science lab, a second construction room, a new music room, a new library, two new visual art rooms, a second D.C.G lab and three new regular classrooms), as well as the new sports arena (four times the size of the now knocked-down concert/sports hall), puts St. David’s Holy Faith Secondary School, in the words of Principal Carey, “to the
fore in the delivery of excellent in educating the young men and women of Greystones, in the very best 21st century school building“.
We’ll be swinging down to St David’s in a couple of weeks, to see just how 21st century the school is becoming.
