Temple Carrig Gets That Choir Feeling

Security was tight this year…

t’s already become a major date on the calendar for those who love the power of the human voice, and this year’s Wicklow Sings did not disappoint.

Taking over Temple Carrig School once again, Dara MacMahon, Jamie Lyon and the rest of the team once again put on a show packed with showstoppers.

Attending the festival for 2025 were the Unity Gospel Choir, The Wicklow Parkinson’s Choir, Bella Voce, The Wicklow Singers, The Temple Carrig School Choir, The Greystones Community College Choir, The Sound Crowd, Cheile Community Choir, The Avondale Voices, The Temple Carrig Singers, and making their debut appearances this year, St David’s School Choir, Baltinglass Sings and the Get Singing Choir.

“Everyone can sing,” says MacMahon, “and when you have a group of people hitting harmonies together, being overtaken by a song, I’m not sure there are many greater feelings in this world…”

Sing out, sister.

Also there on the night were the Temple Carrig TY students heading to Africa with the Fields Of Life charity, plus, as you entered Temple Carrig, a mighty fine little jazz combo.
