Get in… Kindlestown Park SAT26AUG23
ollowing Kenmare Height’s big day out last Sunday, neighbours
Kindlestown Park threw a Kids Fun Day this afternoon.
And there was something there for every kind of kid, from climbing trees to bouncy castles, from funky sounds to face painting, from burgers to bingo.
Even with our schizophrenic Irish summer weather ensuring that all
that blissful sun was interrupted by the occasional quick shower, the organisers had it sorted, with gazebos a-go-go.
Among the old-fashioned games for the kids, you could jump into the sack or egg and spoon race or, as the organisers boasted, you could ‘win 22 ducks or catch the 84 home’. Which are bingo references, right…?
Talking of the organisers, they wanted to send out a big thank you to all the sponsors for the day – Granby Sausage, Irish Pride, Rose Confectionary, Sika Ireland, Grove Bar & Lounge, Keith Monahan, Terry O’Neill Painting & Decorating,
House Of Style, Enso Pizza, Lloyds Pharmacy, Sam Byrne, Fran O’Hagan, Gillian Coffey, Ann Redmond, Dec Hogan and ‘all the volunteers who worked hard to make this day happen‘. Plus, of course, the Smullen lass. And the Harte lad.
Also working hard on this generally fine Sunday was the always-reliable and ever-present John McGowan, GG’s snapper supreme…
