e must have been busy the day The Church Of Bread 41 announced that they’d finally restored the old Davis Motor petrol pumps, but, gotta say, sweet job.

A job very well done by Stephen Hynes – aka Reclaiming The Past – and one that the Davis clan will be no doubt happy to see.

As will Greystonians of a certain vintage.

It’s something that new owner Eoin Cluskey recognised from the start needed to be included in the major Bread 41 makeover, determined as he was to restore as much of the original building as possible. Fair fecks.

Which reminds us, have to finally corner Barry Davis and write the history of this Greystones landmark. Now that he’s got a little more time – and a little less oil – on his hands.

In the meantime, congrats to Eoin and Stephen on keeping the town’s past shining bright.
