Bray Garda Station FRI18OCT24 John McGowan
ormed in recent months, the Bray Steering Committee launched this
morning as they marked Anti-Human Trafficking Day.
“The main purpose of this coffee morning,” say organisers Sergeant Jennifer Carrick and Garda Deirdre Murphy, “was to recognise that human trafficking is occurring within the Bray District and across Ireland. Human trafficking refers to sexual exploitation, employment exploitation and the trafficking of our young people into criminality, especially in relation to illegal drug use and supply.
“Our young people being trafficked into criminality has become an area of serious concern in recent years and we are hoping to get this message out into the community.”
