he Happy Pear twins shocked their 1.3m social media followers today with a surprising shift in gear for the year ahead.

Gone are the inspirational Cheryl Cole quotes about self-improvement through self-discovery, self-love and The Happy Pear SuperValu range.

And in their place is what the Flynnstones state are more realistic and achievable life goals for 2022.

Under the simple banner of New Year, New Attitude, the country’s most famous vegans suggest that the key to true happiness doesn’t lie so much in nut milk as it does in Netflix, not so much in early morning swimrises as all-day bed-ins for peace and quiet, in handstands as hot chocolate and Tayto sandwiches.

“It’s been a tough year for everyone,” says Ant, as Dec nods sagely. “Not being able to hug our loved ones and friends – or their sisters – and having to come up with a brand new healthy vegan recipe as well as a deep and inspiring quote every single feckin’ day.

“For 365 days. Of undiluted misery.”

Hence the New Year, New Attitude campaign for 2022. Whether this is a step forward for The Happy Pear brand or the long-predicted crack in the Flynnstones’ matrix, only time will tell.
