Three Wise Girls Raise €700 For Homeless

Feels a lot like Christmas…

apturing the very essence of the Christmas spirit, the call-out to Greystonians to contribute to this year’s festive feast for the homeless in Bochelli’s has brought out the best in people.

From those offering to work on the day to all the donations of clothes, gifts and money, this year’s Christmas Day bonanza has proven even bigger and better than last year’s inaugural offering.

The incredible response by the people of Greystones was perhaps best represented by young Aisling, Lauren and Olaya when they walked through the door of Bochelli’s to present proprietor Declan McLoughlin with the money they’d raised for the big day.

Selling homemade Christmas logs door-to-door for just €5 each, the girls – with a little help from parents Nadia and Richie – had managed to raise a staggering €700.

Christmas can be a lonely and difficult time for many people, especially for those without the support of a family. Never mind a roof over their heads. To witness this kind of unconditional love and support for others less fortunate than themselves from a trio of friends so young makes you realise that there’s always someone there to help you carry that weight…

We’ll be swinging by Bochelli’s on December 25th to celebrate this magnificent and important new addition to the Greystones calendar. In the meantime, big love to Aisling, Lauren and Olaya, and to everyone who has contributed to this truly beautiful day…
