The sun always shines…
n truth, no one was really interested in entering Greystones into this year’s Word’s Most
Liveable Community competition.
We had won it way back in 2008, at the inaugural ceremony in China, and hey, they probably weren’t going to give it to the same town twice.
Besides, with the jetlag of all these Covid lockdowns weighing ever-harder on our shoulders, working up the energy and enthusiasm to sell the wonders of Greystones to an international panel of highly-qualified and enormously critical judges just wasn’t anyone’s idea of fun.
Or common sense, for that matter, since it had been over a decade since our last win.
